Vintage Football Card Wrappers

Some football card collectors collect the wrappers, too! What I like most about the wrappers is that they describe the features of the cards: "Guess What" quizzes, magic football funnies, krazy pennant inserts, and so on. You can see that some of the inserts originally had names different from the ones we use today: what Topps called "cloth emblems" in 1961, for instance, we now call "flocked stickers."

Below are most of the wrappers of football cards issued from 1933 to 1987. Clicking on most wrappers up to 1978 will show you the cards in those sets. A huge thanks to Joe DeAngelis for providing many of the images.
