Happy 80th birthday to Woody Campbell! Campbell played running back from 1967 to 1971 for the Houston Oilers. In 1967, his rookie season, he made the AFL Eastern Division All-Star team. He finished his pro career with a total of 2202 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns.
Campbell played college football at Northwestern University.
Today’s card of the day is Campbell’s 1969 Glendale Stamp. He also appeared on a 1972 Sunoco Stamp. As far as I know, he never appeared on a regular issue football card.
