1960 Topps Metallic Stickers

1960 Topps Metallic Stickers were inserts in packs of 1960 Topps football cards. There are 33 stickers in the set: one for each of the 13 NFL teams of that year, plus 20 representing colleges. I am not fond of the stickers: their graphics are homely, their shiny surface shows wear easily, and most of them are off-center or out of focus. Perhaps Topps threw them together in response to Fleer, their new competition, who included AFL team decals and college pennant decals in their 1960 football card packs. As far as I know, 1960 was the first time that any card company included inserts in packs of football cards.
