1978 Holsum Bread Football Cards
There are 33 cards in the 1978 Holsum Bread set: 32 players and a checklist. Unlike the 1977 Holsum set, which contained only Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings, the 1978 set contains at least one card from each of the 1978 NFL teams--except one, the Baltimore Colts. Lydell Mitchell apparently was supposed to represent the Colts, but the Colts traded him to the San Diego Chargers in August of 1978, so there are two Chargers and no Colts in the set.
Except for Mitchell, the cards in the set are ordered alphabetically by team. As in 1977, the name "Holsum" does not appear on the cards, but there is a Topps copyright line on the back.
